The Santa Run is a festive and charitable event where people of all ages walk the streets of Chania wearing Santa Claus costumes.
This cheerful event in Chania was started by a small group of friends with big hearts who believed in an important cause. As the event quickly gained popularity, the group of friends turned into a charity group and they are now on their 5th year of dressing up the people of Chania in Santa costumes.
A distance of almost 4 km is being covered in the historic and commercial center of Chania, with the purpose of raising money to a few of the institutions that take care of children with health issues: Elepap, Kifaamea, Kifap and Horass. There are no official timing or medal as the event is all about supporting children in need.
